Got the answer I was looking for!
Thanks to Marc from Tumble support I now have a better understanding of how the “Feeds” feature works.
Marc says…
“We poll feeds once per hour unless a feed contains a request to be polled less often. We import feed items at each poll that are two days older or newer and that haven’t been imported perviously. If a feed is unavailable for any reason when we poll, we...
Open letter to Tumblr
Hi Marc,
First off I would like to say thanks for a great service. Of all the blogging platforms Tumblr has turned out to be the most fun to use, thanks. But…with that being said I would like for you to answer two questions.
1st Question:
I would like to post video on-the-fly from my iPhone 3Gs to my Tumblr blog and have it appear on my blog as an embedded video ready to be watched by...
"One App To Rule Them All"
Creating content on the iPhone is great. Being able to put your content anywhere without restrictions…….Jedi-Wicked Cool!
So far TweetReel is the only iPhone app that lets me copy the embed tags which I then post via email to Tumblr. The result is a post with an embedded video on my Tumblr Mobile Blog. And it’s all done On-The-Fly from my iPhone…Awesome! Yes, its a few...
What is Strobist?
My best definition of a strobist would be:
A photographer that uses several external camera flashes as off-camera lighting. Or better yet, hotshoe mountable flashes removed from the camera and used via wireless flash triggers or sync cables.
A serious strobist might use no less than three off-camera flashes to light a subject indoors or out, but you can create awesome photos with one off-camera...
Mp3 Insider Podcast
Wow…just finished listening to cNet’s Mp3 Insider podcast all about the soon to be released Zune HD. This episode featured a Q&A with Microsoft’s Brian Seitz and an up close, hands on look at some of the features of Microsoft’s latest Zune. I still may not buy the Zune HD but this episode of the Mp3 Insider made me really think about what features are missing in all...
Tether This!
I’m bummed that every time the hosts on one of the many photography related podcast I listen to starts talking about some NEW camera teathering software for Nikon or Canon, they act as if Nikon and Canon are the only cameras that can tether. I’ve been using a tethering app on my laptop (Pentax Remote Assistant 3) along with my Pentax K10D for almost two years and it sounds to me as if...

“B.C.’s Simon Fraser University is taking punishment to a whole new level, introducing a grade of FD — meaning failure with dishonesty — the worst possible grade a student can receive.”
I’m frustrated
My comment/post on the Brightkite Community-powered support forum:
Too long of a wait for such a basic feature. I uninstalled Brightkite from my iPod Touch 2nd Gen 2-3 months ago because of repeated false promises about adding this feature. When version 1.1.3 (iPhone OS 3.0 Tested) was released I figured it had to have this feature by now and jumped at the chance to install it on my NEW iPhone...
You should never have to spend more than 2-3...

If you are, then you just need more practice. No biggie.
Get out there! lol
