Life on EDGE with the 3Gs
Today I shut down the 3G radio in my iPhone 3Gs and ran EDGE all day just to see how my battery usage on EDGE differs from the same usage on 3G. Now before all of you original iPhone user give me shit, you should know that this 3Gs iPhone is my first. Life with an iPhone on EDGE (only) is something I didn’t have to live through. First off I’ll say that the phone was not completely...

CiitySourced app expedites issues!
Making awesome use of the iPhone, the soon to be released CitySourced app (called “a real time mobile civic engagement tool”) will make interacting with city officials about problems and issues in your city streamed lined and….well, down right easy! Cant wait to download and install this app. In an email to me from Jason Kiesel (Founder, CEO & Chief Architect), the app is going through the...

Apple 9-9-9 Event Supplemental:
Remember a few years ago when most of the popular gyms like 24hr Fitness and Golds Gym banned camera phones because members were caught snapping pics of other members in various stages of undress? How long before a compromising video taken with the new nano gets posted to YouTube? Will the new nano get banned? And what about owners of the previous nano (w/o video), are they gonna have to flip...
"Only chumps get punked by Apple!"
I was talking with a co-worker yesterday about the recent Apple 9-9-9 Event. I was trying to convey an odd feeling I had after the event came to an end. It was something that lingered out of reach of my words, I couldn’t put my finger on it until today.
Several years ago I held out buying a current model iPod because I was sure that Apple would release a “Video iPod”. The day...
Is the nano my next iPod?
Dred242 Mobile EDITION
So now that the big Apple Music Event is over and I’ve had several hours to consume what was offered up by Apple. I need a replacement for my 2nd Gen “use-at-work-only” iPod Shuffle which no longer holds a charge. I had my sights set on the NEW (post Apple announcement) iPod nano, but by adding video to the nano I’m starting to pull away from the...
"Actual" unemployment rate is 16.8% →
mikehudack:
doublethink:
The thing that always irked me about the usual unemployment number was that it excluded people who were underemployed and those who have “given up” on their job search. If you could those people and other marginally unemployed people usually excluded, as Zero Hedge points out the actual rate is about 17% (as if 10% wasn’t skurry enough). As they note: “U-6...

I’m starting my own BART to San Jose Int. Airport project. I hired a few guys with a big-ass drill, we picked a spot and just started tunneling….deal with it!
This PayPal Ad kinda freaks me out!..."click to... →
Wow…nice PayPal Ad. The future looks cool, but still kinda scary. A world with on other means to pay for anything other than credit / debt cards might leave us all out in the cold if the system goes down. I’m still not ready for a cash-less society.

Back Yard Pumpkin Patch
Our back yard Pumpkin patch is outta control!
Once upon a century.
I’m gonna have to do something for flickr999. That is to say: a special photo for September 9th 2009 posted over at flickr. I’ve looke all over flickr for some kind of event geared towards this once a centry event, but I’ve found nothing. Well, I did find one flickr group but it only had a few members (19 at last count), but I’ll join none-the-less.
Between now and...
